This event will provide hands-on opportunities to apply the latest tools from Harvard/MIT and interact with peer businesses to hone your business model for success.
Prior to rejoining the Rotman School in 2001, Brian was Assistant Professor of Competition and Strategy at Harvard Business School, where he taught core strategy and jointly developed an elective on Technology and Competitive Strategy with faculty at MIT. Brian's research focuses on firms' competitive strategies and how organizational structures interact to affect their performance – in particular, their ability to access and exploit technological capabilities. Brian’s work has appeared in numerous academic journals and has also been featured in Business Week online, Sloan Management Review, and The New York Times. He has provided consulting and instruction to executives around the World working with organizations ranging from entrepreneurial ventures to Fortune 100 firms.

Brian Silverman is a Professor of Strategic Management at Rotman School of Business. He studies diverse industries including biotechnology, information processing, consumer electronics, and transportation. He currently serves as Series Editor for Advances in Strategic Management, editorial board member for Organization Science, Research Policy, and Strategic Organization, and Chair of the Strategy Research Initiative’s Executive Board.
