The NWO Innovation Centre has been championing regional projects that address gaps in high-speed Internet connectivity and cellular coverage in Northwestern Ontario. With the support of private sector partners, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), and FedNor, six projects have been funded. We feel that it's important to continue to address gaps in connectivity because of the impact on safety, quality of life, and economic diversification and sustainability.
