Congratulations to Two Local Businesses on their recent achievements!
Slate River Dairy:
Slate River Dairy received an Excellence in Agriculture, Honourable Mention Award by Agriculture Minister Ernie Hardeman for their modified European butter churn that can churn butter and pasteurize milk simultaneously. It is the only one of its kind in Canada and reduces the amount of product wasted.
Freshwater Cuisine:
Greg Rickford presented Freshwater Cuisine with an "Ontario Local Food Champion" Award on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture.
